We have been working hard tossing around different ideas on how to raise money and help people at the same time.Brother Niles suggested the gofundme idea and pitched it to us.We all agreed that it was a great idea, and in one day already raised over $10,000 dollars.Brother Niles put alot of work into setting this up and he did a great job.Below is the Mission Statement that was put on the Gofundme Page. Please support this great cause and donate today.

White Plains Professional Firefighters Local 274 Mission Statement:

As First Responders we are working on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19, doing everything possible to ensure the safety of those in our community.  In addition to continually responding to emergencies we are asking for your help by aiding  those who continue to work through these challenging times and for those who are unable to work due to the mandatory shutdowns of local businesses.

COVID-19 has upended all of our lives in unimaginable ways but we remain hopeful because of the heroes on the front lines that continue to go into work everyday — the doctors, nurses, and all of the clinical staff caring for symptomatic patients.

Moreover the White Plains's business industry is facing tough times and swiftly shifting their operations to curbside pickup or delivery to help keep their businesses afloat. They too are struggling.

That's why we want to come together as a community to work with local restaurants and businesses to provide nourishment in the form of breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee as well as uplifting gifts to those working tirelessly to save lives.

We would greatly appreciate your help reaching our goal of $15,000 over the next 30 days.  This will allow us to not only provide for the hard working men and women battling on the front lines everyday but also partner with multiple local restaurants and businesses who need our help as well.

    Where will your donations go?
The White Plains Professional Firefighter Local 274 saw an opportunity to boost the morale of the health care workers in our community and support the local businesses.  Your generous contributions will be used to buy meals from many different local restaurants to feed all of the men and women working tirelessly in our hospitals.
