CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FROM LOCAL 274(March 22,2020)

Just an update to let you know what has been going on.The union has been working hard to get the answers we need to keep our brothers safe. We have been on the phone around the clock with the City of White Plains and other agencies around the County. We are working on getting every member tested and trying to get thermometers so that everyone at start and end of shift gets their tempature taken, anything 100.4 or more, you should be sent home.If at end of shift, it is your responsibility to monitor yourself.

If you are(were) exposed to someone who tested positive for the Coronavirus and are asymtomatic(no symptoms), you should report to work and according to cdc guidelines wear a mask while working until 14 days after the last high risk exposure.

If you have any symptoms of the coronavirus(dry cough, fever, tiredness, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, aches and pains), or just generally dont feel well.....Stay Home!

If you are asympomatic, report to work. If you develop symptoms while at work....Go Home!

Remember to continue to practice Social Distancing by keeping 6 feet apart from each other.
